OUR STORY
How It All Began
After two decades of leading teams, organizations and operations for the world’s greatest military, Mike Brooks, our founder, returned home to find family members, friends and neighbors struggling in their careers. Upon further inspection Mike found that most of them worked for small businesses and that the root of their struggle was in the day to day operations. Looking to the numbers he discovered that 50% of our nation’s small businesses won’t survive past the 5 year mark, which meant over a million people will lose their jobs as a result. Seeing that a third of the country was at risk, Mike set out to assemble a network of highly specialized Veterans that shared in his passion for growing small businesses and developing stronger communities.

Our team of skilled Veterans proudly continues serving by making top tier consulting strategies accessible to small businesses everywhere. One of the most valuable lessons we’ve learned leading men and women in uniform is that with a clearly defined mission and well organized, equipped and trained troops – anything is possible, even changing the nation-wide success rate of small business.
We believe the best business growth strategies shouldn’t be reserved for just the large corporations, and that it is our responsibility to educate and develop consulting programs to make growth available to our community of small business owners.
After meeting with dozens of hard working small business owners we saw the same thing happening over and over again…leadership was so busy working “In The Business” that they didn’t have any time left over to “Work On The Business”.
